I can now say I have been to Poland. You will note Warsaw was not on our itinerary. The tornadoes around Atlanta, Georgia on Friday began the domino effect of us missing our flight, barely making the last flight to Amsterdam, but needing to connect through Poland to get to Istanbul to meet up with our tour group. We are sleep deprived and will have no luggage for the next five days. But I can say it has been worth every stressful second.

We were able to meet up with our group and we visited Hagia Sophia. Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque was originally built as a Greek Orthodox Church  in 360 about 270 years after “ Obedient unto Death” takes place. The Muslim ottoman empire conquered Constantinople in 1453 and it was converted into a mosque. Think the crusades.

Hagia Sophia (lit. ‘Holy Wisdom‘; Ancient Greek: Ἁγία Σοφία).

Until my next update. Blessings
