What a wonderful turnout! The room was filled with readers, friends, and history lovers—and the questions kept coming. We talked about life in the Roman Empire, the real history behind the Secrets of Ephesus series, how a historical mystery comes together, and what it takes to move a novel from an idea to publication.
I loved seeing familiar faces, meeting so many new people, and sharing a first look at the cover of Powers of Death. The enthusiasm, curiosity, and great conversation made this an afternoon to remember.

Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.
If God takes notice of a tiny sparrow, how wonderful to see His handiwork in the hummingbirds that have provided endless summer entertainment—zipping, darting, chasing, and crowding around the feeder.
As summer begins to slip away, I’m preparing to say goodbye to some of my favorite little visitors.
